Very many years ago we made a tryst with destiny; and now the time comes when we will redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the Soul of a Nation, long suppressed, finds utterance.... We, Station Masters end today a period of ill fortune, and discover our self again in “the SMs for IAS-8/9” ie., Station Masters for International Acclamation Strike- 8th September 2011.

We know the position of Railways is in Red, organization’s financial is in mess as something beyond the control because of the wrong principles and selfish political moves. But for that the legitimate and essential needs of the Masters can’t be postponed. Though, We Love our Profession with Pride and Prestige, We still assure, We will and can work for the betterment to keep our organization’s financial stability if we are permitted. We are forced with ‘SMs for IAS-8/9’.
Hence, taking into consideration, the National Economy and Travelling Public, we selected the minimum scratch mode of STOPPING ALL TRAINS AT ALL SIGNALS FOR JUST 2 MINUTES, in order to achieve our just Demands.
The actions of our Father of the Nation, Gandhiji, and Anti-corruption, Anna Hazare, were treated as laughing stocks in the present scenario. We have created enough collective pressure on the Administration by so many passive modes, including the latest of our Fast on 2nd March 2011. Our Honorable MPs have raised the issue in the floor of the Parliament. We have conducted Divisional Demonstrations on 21st July 2011 and sent memorandum, signed by individual SMs, to the Honorable Prime Minister. The Language we interacted with the Government seems to be negated.
We have to convey to the deaf with the visual; Hence, the Central Executive Committee which met at MAS on 27th July 2011, decided to plunge into direct action on 8th September 2011, by “STOPPING ALL TRAINS AT ALL SIGNALS FOR 2 MINUTES”.
HAPPY 65th INDEPENDENCE DAY. Let’s Celebrate this Day. This day Gave Us the Freedom Of Thought, Action, Faith and Speech. Let's prove, we, the STATION MASTERS, are the life-line of this system and Let’s strive to keep the Nation moving, except on 8th September 2011. We love our country and profession and carry with pride the designation of STATION MANAGER.
