Our seasonal greetings,
It is undoubted that you are sturdy, strong, and robust and not easily knock able, your mind will ever be throbbing about the proposed ‘Direct action’ SMs for IAS. It is appreciable that the zeal and zest in your mind is ever alive in high degree despite a little hiccup by way of consolation talks. It is inevitable my dear comrades, particularly to AISMA - which is a candid organization known for following rules and laws. Conciliation is a common practice and any Trade Union is bound to comply and does not mean that we revert from our AIM.
DEC was convened on 14-09-2011 at SBC to review the situation and to plan future programs preparing the cadre for SMs IAS.
Divisional President Com. Md Iqbal was in chair, appreciable number of members attended, notable was presence 18 pro –ASMs.
House observed one minute silence to pay homage to com GIRISH KUMAR SM/WJR/SR who lost his life in Chittary (near AJJ/SRly) Collision.
DP in his address narrated the importance of direct action and requested Branch Office bearers to keep the mood among members in good stead. As per CEC directive all are requested to be prepared to strike any time after 26-09-2011. The preparedness of our Division was really encouraging the importance of SMs for IAS has really kindled lot of enthusiasm among new members. He appreciated the work done by Action committee and active members in all the branches which was proved by the attendance in all branch meetings.
Chairman Action Committee SWR Com R. K. Subbarayan addressed the gathering and explained the situation in all India level. He narrated pervious strikes by this Association its effect on administration particularly 11-08-1997. How the association protected its members from onslaught of mighty administration and insisted only this way of following all legal procedures will help us in future course of action.
The never dying enthusiasm shown by the young Turks of this division was glossing and glorious. He also appealed to the gathering not to be carried away by rumor adrift by vested interests.
Adhering to the instructions of CEC, Zonal Action Committee in coordination with ZEC and DECs meet various Members of Parliament in all three divisions and continues to do so.
It is much delightful dead by one E SUGAVANAM Hon’ble MP from KRISHNAGIRI (in T.N) who has forwarded our memorandum to Hon’ble MR and Chairman RB with his personal recommendation. This Association takes this opportunity to thank this Gentleman for his sincere effort. Com John Vincent SG has written personal letter thanking him.
Com PVSR Prasad Rao GS/SWR while addressing the house explained the deliberations of Central Action Committee meeting held at NAGPUR on 21-08-2011. Where all the zones represented and informed almost all zones are in readiness for the action program. He explained in nut shell the demands and its important to young members.
Com B P Kumarasamy informed the house his efforts to make our demands made known to NRMS central and Zonal office bearers and their support. He explained the position of MYS Victimization case its present status.
He informed the situation in our Division regarding some Local demands and promises of Sr DOM to redress the same.
Com T.Nedumaran DS/SBC submitting his report narrated the actions taken by division and branches. As soon as CEC directive was received regarding Direct Action DEC started conducting man to man contact and pamphlets and posters were printed and pasted in all stations before the now historical 24 Hrs Hunger fast on 21-07-2011at SBC. Branch meetings were conducted at BWT on 06-07-2011, at RMGM on 09-07-2011 at HSRA on 15-07-2011.
DEC cooperated with Action committee chairman in forming Zonal & Divisional Action committee and with the help of Com JAYAPAL SMR/DPJ we were able to meet two MPs from Tamilnadu.
Meetings were conducted at KPN 06-08-2011 were 21 members attended, CPT on 27-08-2011 were 25 members attended, At HUP on 02-09-2011 were 32 attended, BWT on 03-09-2011were 23 attended. These numbers are not mentioned to prove to any one anything.
Members present were asked to come with there views and suggestions, most of them informed their readiness for direct action every one felt this is a now are never situation. Most wanted strong action from DEC to solve pending Divisional demands. The Following resolutions were passed.
DEC will be meeting DRM/SBC shortly to appraise about
1.Pending Promotions
2. Non implementation of MACP
3. Filling up of vacancies / Roster issue (5stations).
We demand Bonus payment to be made through BANK only.
Sr DOM will be requested to settle the pending issues like
1. Leave sanctioning procedure
2. Impudence caused by the inspectors by way of inspections.
3. Problems faced by In- Charge SMs in complying with their other duties like Procuring materials. Conducting various type of inspection including night inspection / safety camps.
Dear comrades in a recent occasion Karnataka LOKHA AYUKTHA has stated “there is lot of Slogans in INDIA but practically it is not applied”
In our division recent DPO circular stated Welfare inspectors will be visiting each station on nominated days which are painted on some station walls but in practice we never met any one.
