In accordance with the provisions contained in sub-section (1) of Section 22 of the Industrial Disputes Act 1947, I hereby give you notice that I, on behalf of ALL INDIA STATION MASTERS’ ASSOCIATION, SOUTH ZONE,
propose to call a strike of –
STOPPING OF ALL TRAINS FOR TWO MINUTES AT ALL STOP SIGNALS USING ALL KINDS OF STOP SIGNALS FROM 00.00 HOURS OF 26.09.2010 TO 23.59 HOURS OF 26.09.2010 for the reasons explained in the annexure.

DEMAND NO.1:- TO POST ADDITIONAL STATION MASTERS AT PANEL INTERLOCKED STATIONS:-
DEMAND NO.2:-
a] Fill up all vacant posts of Station Masters (Total: 342) including the vacancies on account of medical de-categorization, ex-cadre postings, etc.
b) SMs who are medically de-categorized (nearly 68) SMs and kept on supernumerary posts shall be posted in alternate posts with protection of grade and seniority,
c) The ex-cadre posts in which SMs are working shall be made regular and taken into the sanctioned strength of the cadre.
ON THE FOLLOWING LIST OF ISSUES AND DEMANDS AS A RESPONSIBLE TRADE UNION THE ZONAL EXECUTIVE OF THIS ASSOCIATION HAVING FAITH ON THE PEACEFUL MEANS OF TRADE UNION HAD MADE A MULTITUDE OF REPRESENTATIONS, CONDUCTED MANY PEACEFUL PROGRAMMES AND ACTIONS TO GET THE ABOVE VITAL ISSUES AND DEMANDS SOLVED BUT NOTHING HAS MATERIALIZED TILL DATE. HENCE WE ARE FORCED TO TAKE THIS INEVITABLE MEANS OF CALLING FOR THIS STRIKE.
