 PROCEEDINGS OF THE MASS RALLY AND THE 48 Hrs HUNGER FAST HELD AT NDLS ON 14th JULY 2010

During the organisational Hour, the President called all the Zones to express their view   on  the action programme. All the Zones attended  narrated their Zonal activities and proposed their action programme. After the consensus with the General Secretaries the house derived a action plan i.e. “Mass Rally at NDLS on 14th July 2010, commencing  from NDLS Railway Station  to Parliament and to sit  for 48 Hrs HUNGER FAST”.

The well prepared programme with the meaningful multi-colour posters and motivated phamplet  from  CEC and the local phamplets and posters conveyed the needful message to the cadre and the convinced  cadre  prepared themselves for the Rally and the Fast.  

Action plan 14/7

July 14, 2010. When the sun arose on the east of Delhi Railway station, the early morning  passengers confused were with the direction, since on the western side of the NDLS Railway station i.e the Ajmeri Gate, was glittered with the White attire Station Masters lined up for the commencement of the MASS RALLY. At 10.00 hrs the Central President flagged off the Rally and the mammoth gathering  in a disciplined  two row march, made it to the visual media of NDLS  and the Press. The long stretch of white  line measuring more than 2 km long reached the venue, Jantar Mantar, around 13.00 hrs. The Rally was closed by our ex-Central President Com.U.S.Singh. He, in his vibrant address before the 2000 + Station Masters,  explained the past struggles and the achievements of the Association.  The regimented gathering dispersed from Jantar Mantar, to assemble before the office of DRM/DELHI, for the 48 Hrs Hunger Fast. (Due to the  preparation for the XIX Commonwealth Games, the police denied 48 Hrs Fast)

Honorable Shri Mukul Roy, Minister of State - Ministry for Shipping from the  Trinamool Congress, has consented to inaugurate the fast. Due to the sudden political crises in West Bengal, he expressed his inability to inaugurate the fast; hence the 48 Hrs fast in front of office of the  Divisional Railway Manager / Delhi was inaugurated by Com.U.S. SINGH our ex CVP. 16 comrades including the Central President Com P.K.DAS commenced  the fast at 14 hrs amidst  roaring  slogans by the gathering.

The Comrades who fasted for the faster achievement of our demands are:

 During the period of 48 Hrs the prominent Trade Union Leaders of Railways and other local Trade Unions, addressed  and greeted the fasting comrades.  The determined  16 STATION MASTERS observed a complete fast for 48 Hrs, they have realized that The path to success is to take massive, determined action. More than 1000 SMs in various time gap visited the pandal including night hours.

Retired Station Master Com.Rajagopal offered  fruit juice and brought the fast to an end.
   
MASTERS! Mind it! This is not the end. This is only a beginning and the tip of the ice-berg, of which we are capable of.
Let us show this unanimity in all our endeavors and bring all that is good to this Cadre.
