PROCEEDINGS OF TPJ BRANCH AGM HELD AT TPJ ON 07. 01. 10:

            The meeting commenced at 11.30 hrs with BVP in the chair. After observing one minute silence, annual report was read out by JBS. The report gave all global and national wants in a nutshell .After elaborating the central and zonal activities. When came to branch activities, the reports criticized its own executive’s functioning and deplored that it could not deliver results. Only the BSF managed to excel in his field. The report also called the senior members of the branch to shoulder the responsibility of reviving the branch. Then BSF submitted his reports with the total collection of Rs.49548/- remittance to division Rs  28256/- ; branch expenses Rs 9521/- and c/b Rs 11771/-. Total members enrolled are 68.

             Both the reports were passed without much discussion, but the tone of the report stirred many minds and it reflected when ZP com. R. Palanivel chaired to hold elections. The following team has volunteered to take up posts in the new executives.

            The house then nominated Com.T.Venugopalan SM/TPJ and Com K.MARIMUTHU SM/VLDE to Division.

 Then the new executive took over charge of the proceedings.

Decisions:

1.      To conduct BEC meetings in TPJ area only, because the venues like IMS didn’t attract many members, as it consumes the whole day. To over come such situations the following steps were proposed.

a)      To supply post cards with address of BP/BS to each station, so that the SMs of the station can raise any problem by this method in the BEC of the month.

b)     In case of any non representation or no receipt of post card from a station the branch executive to contact the station in the following days.

2.      BEC advice can be sent by paper/SMS/phone advices. All are equally binding.

3.      The communication to BG complex/cash office/TP/TPGY and all such areas not covered by direct train movements to be sent by post.

Then the reception committee was formed under the chairmanship of com R.Ravi Kumar and T. Venugopalan SM/TPJ com K.Marimuthu SM/VLDE, com P.Ramanathan CW as member to conduct the divisional AGM at TPJ on 25.02.10.

Resolutions:

1.      The house urges the administration to fill up vacancies in the division according to sanctioned strength, before opening MV-VM section and VM-KPD sections

2.      The house urges the administration to release the station wise registration priority list before issuing periodical transfer orders.

3.      House urges the administration to remove the empty water tanks kept at valadi station and move them for display at some other place.

4.      House urges the administration to conduct a study and re-locate fueling points at TPJ to facilitate double head fueling and 8 coaches DEMU fuelling.

The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by Com.K.MARIMUTHU SM/VLDE.
