The Greatest Secret of Success
Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan, in 1967, tried for a job in Akashvani , ie the All India Radio for ‘Radio Announcer’, he was rejected. But, he was not dejected, tried again; Amitabh Bachchan made his film debut in 1969 as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen's National Award winning film Bhuvan Shome. The man rejected for his voice in 1967, selected as voice narrator in 1969. In 1973 the film Zanjeer as Inspector Vijay Khanna, with his roaring voice, earned a Filmfare Nomination for Best Actor. Rest as they say is history.
The secret of Success is the facing the failure. Lessons of failure teaches to conquer fear with confidence. Though many succeeded the 21/7 agitation, some seems to have failed; no regrets. Remember Amitabh was rejected for his voice in 1967, selected as voice narrator in 1969. One who could not fair on 21/7 can and should succeeded in the 8th September, ie ‘SMs for IAS-8/9’.
What is it that makes people successful on 21/7 and I mean really successful compared to you or me? Are they smarter or do they work harder? Are they risk takers or have powerful and influential friends?
I decided to discuss the list and comment on each of the traits with a hope of motivating you and myself in the process. It’s time for me to take my own advice and start on the path to my dreams. I hope to motivate you and me.
- Let’s always be positive. Think Success, with Honest and Dependable not Failure. Let’s beware of a negative environment.
- Goals are nothing without action. Let’s be like Nike and “Just do it”
- Let’s remain laser focused on our goals and surround our self with positive people that believe in you. Let’s Deal and Communicate With People Effectively
- Finally, be different. Following the herd is a sure way to mediocrity. Don’t Be Afraid to be Innovate- Let’s taste the SUCCESS on 8/9.
Having said that , a positive mental attitude is the one simple trait that could be considered a secret that is shared among the world’s most successful people. After that, success is disguised as something called hard work.
Gratitude! For those who really showed your might by successfully conducting the 21.7.2011 agitation. Hats off. Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Never give up.
My dear Brother Station Masters! The greatest secret of success is: there is no secret! Sorry to disappoint after that lead-in title but it’s the truth. “Anything in life worth having is worth working for!”
