REMINISCENCE OF A MAGIC MAN


Today 25th February – is a MAGIC DAY, Sorry- MASTERS’ DAY.

Lets Welcome this Morning with a cocktail of Mourn and Joy. The 25th of February. On this day a magic man, aged 51 years was seeded on this earth to spring thousands of saplings.

At 22.39 Hrs of 25.02.1994, this magic man got seeded at Ernakulam. The mortal remains of this man had been shifted to Moncombu, to his native village in Alleppy. This man transformed a mere 153 number to 3120, an increase by twenty times - a magic by this man in the then Rs.700-900 (6500-10500 / V CPC) grade. In his death, the SMs all over this Nation, in particular, and other Railway men and workers, in general, lost a man in whom they had a protector – protector of not only rights but services too.

Honesty, sincerity, thorough knowledge on the workers’ problems and an intelligent approach to the issues were his hall marks. He excelled others in every field – for interpreting rules / provisions, in oratory, as an astute negotiator and above all in educating and organising the mass he leads.

Leaders may come, but rarely, like this magic man; a unique mould. Let us spread his mission and carryout the job he left behind.

The CEC pledges to place wreath in the memorial park of this magic man with the Executive order of minimum GP of Rs.4200.

Just Don’t Look on this day as another special gift from your Creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterdays. Be a self-starter. Let your first hours set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through all the days to come forth in your life.

To achieve the minimum Grade Pay of Rs. 4200, the Fundamental Right of SMs, carved by this magic man and on the path and direction of this man, STATION MASTERS by its meaning are commencing their Indefinite Fast from 2nd March, 2011.
