July 31st 2010 is the last date for filing ITR with the income tax department. There are significant changes in the ITR for Salaried class this year. Those who are showing house property income, interest etc had to file ITR-2 till last year.
New Saral (ITR-1) has been introduced this year for showing income from house property or loss on house property on account of payment of interest on housing loan obtained, in the ITR-1 itself. However, this is not applicable for more than one house. Income from other sources can also be shown in ITR-1 itself in respect of salaried class.
Here comes an easy way to generate your ITR-1 (return). Enter your Personal data along with Income and deduction details as given in the Form-16 and click “Print ITR page-1″ “Print ITR page-2″ and “Print ITR acknowledgment” buttons one by one to print respective pages.
