DELEGATION OF POWERS TO GMs FOR ADVANCE PAYMENT & REFERRAL FOR MEDICAL TRAETMENT OF RAILWAY STAFF IN PRIVATE HOSPITALS:

GMs are vested with powers to refer employees to private hospitals if treatment is neither available at Rly. Hospitals nor at recognized hospitals, and also release advance payments, upto a limit of Rs 4 lakhs.

INCLUSION OF LEGALLY DIVORCED SISTER OF EMPLOYES AS DEPENDANTS:

 

Legally divorced sisters, if father is not alive, may be included in the list of dependant relatives of the employee.

       - No.2008/H-I/2/15 dated 26.10.2009.

IMMEDIATE RELIEF TO FAMILY OF RLY. STAFF WHO DIE WHILE IN SERVICE:

 

The immediate relief amount to family of Rly. staff who die in service is increased from Rs.8000/- to Rs.15,000/- w.e.f 04.12.2009.

FIXATION OF PAY IN NEW PAY BAND ON REQUEST TRANSFER TO LOWER POST:

 

W.e.f 1.1.2006, the pay in the pay band of the employee transferred to a lower post will be fixed at a stage equivalent to the pay in the pay band drawn by him prior to appointment to the lower post. However, grade pay will be that of the lower post. He will draw increments based on pay in the pay band plus lower grade pay.

SRPF -  RATE OF INTEREST:

The rate of interest for SRPF for the year 2009-10 will be 8%.

 

RE-ENGAGEMENT OF RETIRED EMPLOYEES:

Approval is given by Railway Board to engage retired gang men, gate men, key men and trolley men on daily remuneration basis for the period upto April 2010, subject to maximum age limit of 62 years. Rates of remuneration is to be announced separately.
