Com.S.Jayaraman, SM-in-charge of Alapakkam station between VillupuramJn.-Mayiladuthurai Jn, (Main line) in Tiruchchirappalli division, Southern Railway is suspended from pay and duty. The reason was he asked for minimum safety equipments to be provided at station and LC gate lodge in the newly laid BG line station. Since he was raising so many questions he was placed under suspension on flimsy grounds. The station taking over charge is being done by utilising the services of outstation LRSM. Today is the most painful and shameful day in my railway service.
I salute Com.Jayaraman for his courage and for having stood his ground even before ADRM.

Matter shall not be taken lightly. It may be testing dose
from the other end. The DOBs shall call for an urgent
enlarged Divisional meeting and discuss the matter in
thread bare. It shall be followed WITH fervent and hectic
activities all through the Division. To start with as an
immediate displeasure all SMs in the Division could be
advised to wear 'Black BADGE' while on duty and also while
attending office for any purpose. Media hype will be a
fitting lesson to the management. Black BADGE wearing shall
be followed with Signature campaign, Divisional Demos etc.
All SMs may be advised to send SMS to DRM,GM,MT,CRB and MR
with appropriate message, like, "STATION MASTER SUSPENDED
FOR URGING PROVISION OF ESSENTIAL SAFETY EQUIPMENTS IN TPJ
DIVISION. SMS AGITATED. INTERVENE. RESTORE CONFIDENCE OF
SMS IN AUTHORITY." The SMS action need not necessarily be
restricted/limited to Division. It can be also in the
Zonal and All India Level by displaying the decided SMS in
our web site. The essential part is that we give the
mobile numbers of all the addressees along with the SMS

sorry for the delayed updating.Com.S.Jayaraman"s suspension was revoked on 30th Jan. But now he is issued with SF5 based on the report/statement given by RVNL anthority. But the double-game played by RVNL authorities were brought out to the limelight by Com.S.Jayaraman. Now, the rly.officers are no more relying on the reports of "work completed" given by the RVNL people. Still the case of signing SWI/SWR by more than the required is to be fought with.
