In many of the Stations, UTS installation is progressing. But the main lacuna behind this is most of the stations do not have sufficient space in SM's Office. Along with signal Panel equipment and others, hardly there will be any space to spare, but these limitations are not taken into account while planning is done. Also UTS has to be manned for 24 hrs and hence separate personnel will be required to operate it. As PRS also will be embedded in the system, it is not practical for SMs to operate this. These matters should be highlighted in our resolutions. Also every SM should appraise the situation to their DRMs and DOMs and demand for alternate rooms other than SM's office/Panel Room for putting up PRS.
