My Dear Team Mates,

We strongly condemn Mumbai’s terrorist attacks and let our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the people of Mumbai. These coordinated attacks on innocent civilians demonstrate the grave and urgent threat of terrorism and need for counter measures. We stand with the Government and let us do our best in assisting the efforts in curbing terrorism from our level and in our Station.

Hope the “PROTEST MONTH” would have been observed in sprit. Hope all the instructions posted would have been followed scrupulously. Please send the compliance report of the action either by post or email.

“ACTION MAY NOT ALWAYS BRING HAPPINESS;

BUT THERE IS NO HAPPINESS WITHOUT ACTION”

In these days of suppressions, recession, erosion of values and disarrayed Trade Union Movements, the AISMA is proving its potentiality and the prompt and reaction of the cadre at the call of this Association is unmatchable and beyond comparison. Why? It is because of the fact that the demands are genuine; attempts to solve the issues are plain and straight forward. Most importantly the demands are ventilated from the bottom of our hearts and resolution to achieve made us to stand like a rock unfettered. The present juncture is only a momentary retreat and it is the best and opportune moments for us to buy time to recognise our weak areas to create conducive atmosphere for a major struggle at a short notice.

Now the responsibilities of the members have increased since we have to expose the evil designs of the Railway Ministry and we have to organize our cadre again for a major and decisive struggle to achieve our demands. The present situation of total denial of benefits to our cadre by the 6^th CPC is an opportunity given to us to work with vigor and enthusiasm. In this critical hour, we should not allow our emotions to rule us, which will naturally prevent us from achieving our goals.

WE, Justify and Demand the following for the Station Masters with the following scale of pay, grade pay and percentage distribution.

We will be meeting on 25^th January 2009, the Sunday at DURG in the CEC Meeting to chalk out an action programme. Come prepared with your Zonal Decision (it is advised that before the CECM all the Zones to conduct their ZEC Meeting and decide the mode of action). Com. LAKHBIR SINGH MUNGHERA, CVP and Gen Secretary/SECR Com. JAYANT.S.MARATHE are advised to monitor the arrangements so as to conduct the CEC Meeting with seriousness.

The CSF has explained the position of Finance in Centre and CBGM authorised the CEC to collect Rs 500 per member to the tune of Rs 10 crores as a special drive and he has also suggested that this drive is to be completed before December-2008. The following are the decisions taken with regard to raising of FUNDS:

Ø No separate coupon books will be printed; only the Central Receipt books should be used.

Ø The collection process will have to be completed before December 2008 certain.

Ø Earnest efforts to be taken by the Zones and Divisions to achieve the target.

Ø The entire amount collected to be remitted to the CSF.

The MEMBERSHIP subscription is enhanced to Rs. 120/- from the year 2009 and percentage distribution is as follows:

CENTRAL - 45% = Rs. 54

ZONE - 15% = Rs. 18

DIVISION - 30% = Rs. 36

BRANCH - 10% = Rs. 12
