ORGANISATIONAL MATTERS
The commemoration of our departed friends Com.P.K.Sreekesh and Com.Orchard Ahmed was held at Kannur on 19.5.2009 at Govt. Guest House.Shri. V.V.Gopalakrishnan retd.SMR inaugurated the session. Painting and quiz competitions were held for children in the fore noon. Safety seminar was held in the after noon in which Sri.C.P.Surendranathan, Safety Counselor/Traffic/PGT released the safety banner and handed over to Com. KGR. Com .R.K.Unnikrishnan, Com. G.Premkumar, Com. VijayanValiyapurayil, Com. K. V. Vijayakumar, Com. V.V.Ramesh and Com. A.K.Sreedeep spoke. Com. Asokan.T welcomed the members present and Com.Vinodan proposed vote of thanks.
Family get together was held in the evening which was inaugurated by Dr.Mrs. K.Valsala, Sr.DMO/CAN. We had the privilege and honour of the presence of Sri.Y.P.Singh, DRM/PGT as the chief guest, who apart from addressing the members and family, shared his thoughts and also sang a nice melodious Hindi song. DRM congratulated the organizers for arranging such a fantastic family get together and he told that he was attending such a function for the first time in PGT divn. The DRM also distributed the prizes for the winners of the Painting and Quiz competitions. He assured all possible help in solving our problems and offered that his doors will be always open for representing any issue for which there need not be any hesitation. Melodious songs were sung by SMs and their family members and best couple contest was also conducted.
